Currently Amazon has an excellent deal on the Simplehuman 45L stainless steel step trashcan. It appears that this discount only the 45L in stainless steel (which is the color I recommend anyways).

This is the newest iteration of simplehuman’s fantastic stainless steel trash cans. Some improvements over the older design:
- No liner bucket. This design is 25% more space efficient.
- Hidden liner pocket dispenser within the can.
- Fingerprint-proof coating.
- 10 year warranty. Good for 20 steps a day for 20 years or more than 150,000 steps.
I will say that this is great for larger kitchens. If you’re concerned about space fro the lid opening, you might be better off holding out for a deal on one of their Butterfly step cans. As much as I want to pull the trigger on the normal step can, I think it will take up too much room in my place.
