What's the best way to put on the Apple Watch sport band?

I feel a little silly asking this—but how do you put on the Apple Watch sports band?

I’m struggling and it doesn’t seem like putting on a watch should be this difficult.

Is there’s some sort of trick or something that I’m missing?

Honestly, it just takes a few days of practice.

I fumbled with mine for a week. Now it’s like second nature.

Everyone struggles putting on an Apple Watch the first time.

I think it’s so difficult because it requires you to to put it on backwards from a normal watch band. With most watches you thread the band through the clasp and then lock it. Don’t do that! With the Apple Watch you want to lock the pin first, then thread it.

The funny thing is now I’m so used to it, I struggle with normal watch buckles.

Thanks! I think I’ve got the hang of it by now.

This is a fantastic description of why it seems so difficult to put on. I had a difficult time articulating it, but this is exactly right.
